Stratford & District Council Of Churches and Simple Dream Ministries are working together to ensure people have a warm shelter for the winter.
The Not One More Night fall campaign raises funds for the warming centre at Stratford Connection Centre.
Senior leader of Jubilee Stratford and member of the council, Trevor Biehn, told MyStratfordNow that Simple Dreams is supportive in a big way.
“Any donation that’s given, they’ll match it up to $10,000.”
Biehn said it shows there’s an organic passion to help people in the community.
Simple Dreams founder Richard Kneider said they see the need and want to help.
“As a community or personally, if we all give a little, we can do a lot.”
Kneider and Biehn said an update on campaign progress will be announced at the Stratford with Love event on Dec. 12.
Last year $42,000 was raised for the centre and the hope is to match or better that.
