Honouring Tim Curry with a Rocky Horror tribute night

It’s time to shiver with antici………..pation ahead of Halloween.

Stratford Film Festival is hosting two screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show on Oct. 30 at city hall.

Staff said the screenings aim to pay tribute to the late-Tim Curry, who passed away on Aug. 25, age 80.

Among many memorable roles, Curry was best known for playing the seductive and flamboyant mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror, the first film in his acting career according to IMDB.

The film follows newly-engaged couple Janet Weiss and Brad Majors (played by Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick respectively), who after getting a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, end up encountering the mansion of Furter and a cast of eccentric characters.

The first screening is scheduled for 7 p.m., the second at 9 p.m.

Tickets can be found on the film festival website.
