Two people arrested, vehicle recovered after crime spree

Police have made a couple of arrests and recovered a vehicle stolen from North Huron.

Provincial police officers from Perth and Huron counties worked together on the case, arresting a man and woman from Listowel, ages 29 and 37, on Oct. 19.

Police say the male was arrested for several outstanding warrants for possession of stolen vehicles, prohibited driving, break and enter and theft under $5,000, all occurring this month.

He faces seven criminal charges.

The female also had an outstanding warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. She is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Huron and Perth detachment commanders Laura Lee Brown and Tyler Steward noted outstanding professionalism and coordinated investigative excellence by several policing units and frontline members resulting in the safe apprehension of the individuals and recovery of stolen property.
