The nasty winter weather is keeping people in the insurance sector busy.

Slick roads and frozen homes cause thousands of people to file claims to their insurance companies for car and home damage.

Jeff Orr from Orr Insurance says the biggest thing on days like today for homeowners is your water pipes.

Orr says that once you’re gone for four days, you need to have someone check your home daily to make sure there’s no pipe damage.
