Stratford Police joining Lock It or Lose It campaign

The Stratford Police are taking part in a province-wide “Lock It or Lose It” campaign.

The campaign is sponsored by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police.

It’s aimed at encouraging drivers to take steps to keep themselves safe from theft, especially during the holiday season.

Inspector Sam Theocharis with the Stratford Police says leaving your vehicle unlocked or having valuables in plain sight is an invitation for thieves.

You should also never leave anything in the car with your personal information on it as that’s a risk for identity theft.

You can find more details about preventing auto theft at this website.
