OPP canine unit tracks down Stratford man

A Stratford man is facing charges after leading police on a chase.

The Perth County OPP says they got a call about a stolen pickup truck early Saturday morning.

Officers spotted the truck on Perth Road 163 just after 5:00 a.m. and pulled it over.

The driver then took off as police approached, ditched the truck in Rannoch and then tried to get away on foot.

He was found with the help of the canine unit.

The 41-year-old has been hit with three charges.
