Schellenberger questions provincial high speed rail plan

Perth-Wellington’s MP is speaking out against the Ontario government’s proposed high speed rail project.

In a release Gary Schellenberger says the Liberal plan will bypass places like Stratford and St. Marys.

He says hard-earned tax dollars will be spent to benefit only large urban centres.

Schellenberger also noted that the provincial Minister of Transportation has evaded questions about expanding GO Train service to our area.

He concluded by saying high speed trains that ignore small towns will only make the transportation situation worse by leaving local commuters without options.
