United Way pulls in $82k from Care-A-Van of Hope

It was a big day for the United Way Perth-Huron.

Thursday’s Care-A-Van of Hope pulled in more $82,000.

That tops the amount raised in the same event last year by about $7,000

Ryan Erb, the United Way’s Executive Director, says they’ve almost closed the donation gap:

One of the nearly 50 agencies the United Way provides funding for is the John Howard Society.

Suzanne Glavin from the Society says they work to keep people out of the legal system:

The United Way is aiming to raise $1,170,000 this year.
