Stratford R.I.D.E. check nets one impaired charge

A R.I.D.E. check in Stratford led to a number of charges.

Police had the stop set up last night and talked to several hundred drivers.

They laid a few Highway Traffic Act charges.

One man, a 56-year-old from Stratford, was charged with impaired driving.

Inspector Sam Theocharis with the Stratford Police says they aren’t seeing an increase in the number of impaired charges:

Last year Stratford Police charged 56 people with impaired driving.
