A Stratford nurse’s murderer has been sentenced to 26 years to life in prison.
Douglas Bradford of California killed Lynne Knight in 1979.
Knight had moved to the state to pursue her nursing career.
She was just 28 years old when ex-boyfriend Bradford, who had long been a suspect in the case, murdered her.
Reports say police were able to connect him to the murder after all these years by determining the wire used to strangle Knight was the same wire Bradford’s mother used to hang paintings.
