Fire at Neumeister Motors causes $280k in damage

A fire caused hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage to a Stratford business.

Acting Fire Chief Michael Gornyiczki says crews were called to Neumeister Motors Saturday afternoon.

A vehicle inside the Downie Street garage was on fire.

They were on the scene for two hours.

Damage is estimated to be in the neighbourhood of $280,000 but there were no injuries.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
