Major OPP drug investigation leads to more than 180 charges

A major investigation into drug trafficking in our area has led to charges for 33 people.

That includes one 56-year-old Perth County man.

It was a joint operation between the Perth, Huron and Lambton OPP detachments as well as the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.

The operation, called Project Pinecreek, kicked off two years ago.

Police searched 11 places and seized over $121,000 in drugs such as cocaine, meth, marijuana and others.

On top of that about $22,000 in stolen property was found.

186 charges have been laid.
