Nancy Jane Schmitte, age 71, of Spruce Lodge passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on December 22, 2014. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Frank and Jesse Kearsey. Beloved wife for 52 years of Bernie. Loving mother of Bernie Jr. and Karen Bell (Larry). Loving Nana of Alexandria (Jared) and Zachary. Dear sister of Mary Sumarak, Robert Kearsey (Sharon), Ann Kovachevich. Also survived sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Martha Plassmann, Albert Schmitte (Inge), Elizabeth Albers and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Frank Kearsey and a brother-in-law Herbert Schmitte. Nancy worked at FAG Bearings and Canadian Fabricated Products until her retirement. Nancy enjoyed her weekly card games with the girls and her winters in Florida. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, December 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in Avondale Cemetery.
