Perth County OPP changes road closure policy

Keeping that in mind the Perth County OPP has also made some changes to its road closure policy.

Mass closures, like were seen during the winter storms last year, have come to an end.

Constable Kees Wijnands says it’s not practical to shut down the whole county:

He clarifies that does not mean there won’t be any closures:

Wijnands adds the OPP are leaving the decision to drive up to the individual:

Road and weather conditions can be found at places such as here at My Stratford Now, the Perth County Roads official Twitter feed and by calling 511.
