PDHU reporting high flu activity

The Perth District Health Unit says influenza is still active in Perth County.

They’re saying the bug is at an “elevated” level.

As of Friday there have been 16 lab-confirmed cases and five deaths associated with influenza in the county.

The lab-confirmed cases are only a small number as many people who get sick don’t bother going to the doctor.

The PDHU is urging people who are sick to stay home.
