Milverton man busted for impaired driving

A 28-year-old Milverton man faces charges after not cooperating with a breath test.

The traffic stop occurred on January 19th at around 2:30am in the morning.

The Perth County OPP pulled over the red Volvo Sedan at Main Street North and Fulton Street in Milverton.

Officers determined the man had been drinking.

He was arrested for impaired driving and was taken to the Listowel OPP Detachment for breath tests.

The driver failed to provide suitable samples of his breath for the purposes of determining his Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC).

As a result, he has been charged with Impaired Driving and Fail to Provide Breath Samples.

The man has a court appearance scheduled in Stratford on February 10th.

He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
