West Perth woman loses licence after blowing over

A West Perth woman will be looking for another way around after a traffic stop in Mitchell.

The OPP says an officer spotted a van turn onto Highway 8 from Road 168 just after 10:00 p.m. on January 11th.

The driver was pulled over so that a sobriety check could be done.

While talking to the driver the officer determined she’d been drinking.

She was taken to the Stratford Police station where she failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

The 42-year-old has been charged with “Driving-Over 80 mgs” and is scheduled to appear in court in Stratford later this month.

Her licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven.
