Racing charge for Perth East man

A Perth East speed demon has lost both his licence and his car for a week.

The Huron County OPP says an officer spotted a green Jaguar speeding along Highway 8 just before 3:30 p.m. yesterday.

Radar showed the car was going 164 km/h, more than twice the 80 km/h speed limit.

The driver was pulled over and charged with racing.

The 54-year-old man is set to appear in court in Goderich in March.
