The Stratford Festival has been recognized in the House of Commons.
Perth-Wellington MP Gary Schellenberger had put forward a private member’s motion that passed a vote Tuesday.
That motion called for the House to recognize the Festival’s distinct cultural and economic contributions to Stratford, southwestern Ontario and Canada.
Schellenberger says he’s pleased with the vote, and feels it’ll be an invaluable promotional tool.
