Hampstead tragedy anniversary

It’s hard to believe but it was two years ago tonight that 10 migrant farm workers and their driver died in a horrific collision near Stratford.

The fatal crash in 2012 in Hampstead made international news and was one of the worst road tragedies in Ontario history.

Most of the workers had arrived to Canada only a few days earlier from Peru.

They had just finished a day of vaccinating chickens at a local poultry operation.
