The Perth County OPP has used science to solve an old case.
Two years ago a Mitchell resident had called police about a break-in at his home.
Officers were able to collect forensic evidence from the scene.
The evidence has been analysed and it’s led to a West Perth male who was a youth at the time of the crime.
He’s already been arrested, charged and found guilty.
He’s been sentenced to community service and to pay restitution to the victim.
