Melanie Judy Berger, age 54, of RR 1 Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday February 4, 2014.
Born in Stratford, daughter of Earl (Laverne) Richardson of Stratford and the late Margaret (Riehl) Richardson (2008).
Melanie was an employee at Zehr’s in the hot deli. She always appreciated her co-workers and greatful for the fundraiser that was held.
Leaving behind her loving husband Jim Berger whom she married on September 16, 1977. Cherished children Jeremy (Cherise), Jeff, Jessica and Justin (Natalie).
Dear sister of Trudy (Joe) Reiger, Jo-Anne (Alex) Robertson, Vernie Richardson, Rick (Darlene) Richardson , Cindy (Frank) Heinbuch, Jim (Roberta) Richardson, Kim (Pete) Davidson, Pam Kittmer (Kevin) and Connie (Al) Marriott and sister-in-law Marianne Metcalfe. Also survived by the Berger family Larry (Diane), Doug, Ron (Bev), Patty Keller, Rick (Nancy), Annie (Ken) McLellan and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends Jim and Darlene Robertson.
Predeceased by brother Randy Richardson, niece Tanya Richardson, mother and father-in-law Kathleen and Franklin Berger, brother-in-law Cliff Keller and sister-in-law Barb Marquette.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Friday February 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday February 8th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Rev. Patricia Jackson will officiate. Spring interment will be in South Easthope Cemetery.
