Disqualified snowmobiler charged

A snowmobiler is facing a criminal charge after he was stopped on a trail near Clinton.

The Huron County OPP says the 29-year-old was stopped Tuesday afternoon by police to see if he had a valid licence and documents for the snowmobile.

Officers found that not only did the man not have a valid permit he was also prohibited from driving.

The Central Huron resident has been charged with driving while disqualified and failing to display evidence of a permit.

He’s scheduled to appear in court in Goderich next month and his snowmobile has been impounded for 45 days.
