Sunday crash in Harmony

A Sunday evening crash has led to drunk driving charges against a London man.

Shortly before 7:00pm, the Perth County OPP was called to the intersection of Perth Line 26 and Perth Road 112 in Harmony.

A Ford F150 pickup had crashed into a home.

Investigation revealed that the truck had been travelling south bound on Perth Road 112.

The vehicle drove through the intersection of Perth Line 26, struck a sign and numerous trees, before coming to rest against a home on the South East corner of the intersection.

Both male occupants of the pickup truck were taken to hospital.

The driver was treated for minor injuries and the passenger was treated for major injuries.

The passenger is a 28-year-old London resident.

The driver failed two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests and now faces multiple charges.

He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
