RIDE check snags drunk driver in St Marys

A RIDE check in St Marys netted a drunk driver Friday night.

Just before midnight, officers on patrol in the Stone Town, observed an SUV moving back and forth in the Remax parking lot near the intersection of Queen Street West and Ontario Street.

The officers spoke with the driver and found that he had been drinking.

The driver failed a roadside breath test and was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville.

There he failed two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests.

The 48-year-old St Marys man has been charged.
