RIDE check in West Perth bags two for alcohol

The Perth County OPP conducted a RIDE check Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

They stopped a large number of vehicles and discovered two alcohol related offences.

Shortly before 11:00pm Saturday night, a car was stopped on Perth Road 180, west of Brodhagen.

The 41-year-old male driver failed the breath test and lost his licence for three days.

Shortly before 2:00am Sunday morning, a Dodge pickup truck was stopped for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Line 21 near Cromarty.

A 16-year-old male passenger had several bottles of beer.

The youth was charged.

In addition to receiving a ticket, he lost his beer.
