United Way awards Youth Grant to two high schools

The United Way Perth-Huron has awarded a Youth Grant to students at Listowel District and Central Huron Secondary Schools.

The two schools collaborated to focus on the issue of mental health.

To help address that concern the students have created an event to help their peers who may be suffering from mental health problems.

An assembly featuring guest speaker Kevin Breel, a 20-year-old writer, comedian, and mental health activist will be held at both schools.

The assemblies take place on Friday, February 21st at 10:30 a.m. at LDSS and then at Central Huron at 1:30 p.m.

There will also be an evening event about mental health that night at 7:30 p.m. at LDSS.

All are welcome to attend.
