A new case of porcine epidemic diarrhea has been confirmed today in Oxford County.
That brings the total number of infected hog operations in Ontario to thirteen.
The latest case is at a farrow-to-finish operation and is the first confirmed case in Oxford County.
Of the thirteen cases two are in Perth County.
Officials are reminding the public that P.E.D. poses no threat to human health or food safety.
