Fire department reminding you about new CO detector law

The Stratford Fire Department is reminding you that carbon monoxide detectors will soon be mandatory.

As of April 15^th your home must have one if you’ve got an attached garage, fuel-burning appliances or a fireplace.

Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless gas that can kill you.

Not getting a CO detector can lead to a fine of up to $50,000.
