Rabidoux responds to Nater’s comments on health care funding

Ethan Rabidoux has taken exception to some comments made by John Nater about health care.

Rabidoux is the federal Perth-Wellington NDP candidate and Nater is the Conservative candidate.

In an interview with 1240 CJCS/2Day FM Nater said the Harper government isn’t cutting health care spending.

That came after a demonstration in Stratford to mourn the loss of the Canada Health Care Accord.

Rabidoux says the Conservative funding model won’t meet needs:

Rabidoux adds that the NDP aren’t the only ones saying it won’t be enough:

Nater also said the loss won’t lead to privatization of health care.

Rabidoux says some prominent members of the Conservative Party already seem to favour privatization of the service:

Rabidoux added underfunded health care is already affecting our area:

Rabidoux went on to say if elected the NDP plan involves negotiating a new Health Care Accord with the provinces.
