A North Perth woman has fallen victim to a “lottery scam”.
On Sunday she told the OPP that she’d gotten a text message saying she’d won $950,000.
The catch was she had to send some money to process the award.
She sent $635 and got a text message saying she needed to send more. That’s when she knew she’d been scammed.
The Perth County OPP is once again warning people about these kinds of cons.
Always be suspicious of unsolicited calls and always verify the identity of someone you’re speaking with.
