The graduation rates for publicly funded school boards have been released.
This is the first time Ontario’s Ministry of Education has made the numbers available.
Provincially the five year graduation rate for high schools is 84%.
Avon Maitland is keeping pace at 83%.
The school board says that number goes up to 87% when students who have either achieved a diploma or are currently registered in school continuing to work toward obtaining a diploma or certificate are accounted for.
