“Heating company” trying to get into homes

The Perth County OPP is warning people about a purported heating company.

A St. Marys resident has reported getting a number of calls from a company claiming to be working in his neighbourhood.

The calls were centered on trying to get into the man’s home to do an inspection.

However the number came up “private” which the resident found suspicious.

The Perth County OPP is reminding you that you have to be careful who you let into your home.

There are no laws requiring your heating system to be checked and you should never agree to anything over the phone.
