Bank robbery in Tavistock

The Oxford County OPP is investigating a bank robbery.

Police say just after 3:00 p.m. Thursday a man walked into the Scotiabank in Tavistock.

He demanded money, a confrontation happened and he then fled.

There’s no word yet on how much money, if any, was taken or if a weapon was used.

The suspect is described as black, about 5’9” with a slim build and in his early 20’s.

He was wearing grey sweatpants, a puffy black coat and a black hood.

If you see this person you’re asked to call 911.

If you know anything about the robbery you’re asked to call the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
