2014 municipal election expenses unveiled

Stratford City Council’s 2014 campaign expenses have been released.

Dan Mathieson, who was elected to his fourth consecutive term as mayor, spent $21,582.

That was the most of anyone who ran.

All of that came from fundraising, except for $950, which was Mayor Mathieson’s own money.

Don Robinson, who placed a very distant second in the mayoral race, spent $6,895.

Among those who ran for a council seat Keith Culliton spent the most at just over $19,438 in what turned out to be a losing effort.

You can find each candidate’s expenses at the City of Stratford’s website.
