Pettapiece launches petition to reduce hydro rates

Randy Pettapiece wants hydro rates lowered.

He’s started a petition aimed at that goal.

This comes after the Liberal government’s recent announcement that hydro bills will go up an average of $137 next year.

Pettapiece says the government’s decision to sell off a large chunk of Hydro One won’t help the issue:

He adds people are already having a hard time paying the current rates:

The Perth-Wellington MPP says electricity rates have tripled since the Liberals took office.

The petition calls for the government to immediately adopt policies that stop hydro bills from skyrocketing.

You can find the petition at this website.
