‘Depressed comic’ at LDSS Friday

Kevin Breel is a 20-year-old writer and stand-up comic.

He’s also an activist for mental health issues.

He will bring his act to Listowel District Secondary School tomorrow night.

Breel’s work has been featured on many national and international media sites.

His TEDx Talk ‘Confessions of a Depressed Comic’ went viral on the Internet.

The evening begins at 7:30 pm and following Breel, Yolanda Cameron of Walkerton will take the stage.

After losing her son to suicide in 2011, she has worked tirelessly to inform youth that it is okay to feel depressed and talk about it.

The evening will end with water cooler conversations where people can mingle with local professionals, LDSS students and parents who are willing to share their stories.

For more information on this special event please call LDSS at 519-291-1880.
