21 cases of PED now confirmed

More cases of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea have been confirmed.

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture confirmedĀ five more cases of the disease this week, bringing the total to 21 in the province.

Of the fiveĀ newĀ cases three are in Oxford County and one is in Perth County.

The virus, which poses no threat to humans, could cost the Canadian pork industry tens of millions of dollars if it continues to spread.
