OPP warning residents about door-to-door callers

A call to the police has led to a warning from the OPP about door-to-door callers.

The Oxford County OPP says a Zorra Township resident got in touch with them after an unknown man came to their door looking to replace their furnace filter on Wednesday.

After the filter was replaced the man asked for payment but didn’t get it.

The police are reminding everyone to be extremely vigilant when anyone comes to your door offering to provide a service that you did not ask about.

You’re asked to call the police if you see any suspicious person or vehicles.

Get as much information as you can, including descriptions of the person, the vehicle, and a licence plate number.
