There’s going to be an information picket and rally at the Stratford Jail.
It’s being put on by members of OPSEU Local 119.
That’s the union that represents the guards at the jail.
They say the Liberal government is offering an unfair contract to replace the one that expired at the end of December.
The guards also say that the government has threatened to “temporarily suspend operations” at the Stratford Jail if the guards decide to strike.
The information picket and rally is happening Wednesday morning at 7:45 a.m.
