Emergency Preparedness Week begins today

It’s Emergency Preparedness Week.

The Stratford Fire Department wants you to know the risks, and reduce together.

This year’s focus is on expanding preparedness beyond the individual.

That means reaching out to neighbours, family, friends and vulnerable people.

The Stratford Fire Department says you need to make a plan and build an emergency kit.

You also need to stay informed through social media using @ontariowarnings and signing up for alerts atemergencymanagementontario.ca.

This is the 20th Annual Emergency Preparedness week.

It runs until Saturday.
