DNA testing leads to arrest in old break-and-enter case

A DNA analysis has led to an arrest in an 11-year-old break-and-enter case.

The Oxford County OPP says it happened sometime at a business on Highway 19 south of Thamesford in May of 2004.  About $2,600 worth of cash and tools had been stolen.

While investigating officers found blood stains at the scene.  Samples were taken then analyzed at a lab.

They’ve now found a match in the DNA Data Bank.  A 29-year-old man from London has been charged accordingly.
