St. Thomas woman dead after snowmobile crash

A 53-year-old St. Thomas woman is dead after a snowmobile crash on the weekend.

The Perth County OPP was called out Sunday afternoon to a collision near Road 158 and Line 81, south of Listowel.

It happened around 4:30pm.

Investigation revealed that a snowmobile had been travelling south bound on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail when it veered from the trail and struck a tree.

Vickie Kernohan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue its investigation.
