No decision on mayor’s Cooper Site proposal yet

A decision on a proposal to demolish part of the Cooper Site building will have to wait.

At last night’s meeting Stratford’s City Council opted to wait for costing for the proposal to come in first.  The plan was put forth by Mayor Dan Mathieson at a meeting on May 4th.

It’d see the fire ravaged portion of the building torn down and the white aluminum cladding removed.  Later on the Annex building would be demolished as well.

A fence would be put up and the loose roof material would be taken off too.

City staff is hoping they’ll have costing available for the next Regular Council meeting on May 26th.
