OPP still searching for suspects after break-in near Mitchell

The Perth County OPP is still looking for two suspects after a break & enter in Mitchell.

Police say someone spotted two thieves trying to load an ATV into a U-Haul at a home on Line 46 Thursday morning.  The thieves took off and headed into Mitchell where police found the abandoned truck at the arena.

It turned out three guns and some cash had been stolen.  A search involving the Emergency Response Team and a canine unit ensued but police weren’t able to track down the suspects.

They’re described as young men in their mid-twenties.  Both were wearing blue jeans, one was wearing a red sweater and the other wearing a grey hoody.

If you know anything about this incident you’re asked to call the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 348-9700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
