Phil Westman named ‘Coach of the Year’ by GOJHL

The Stratford Cullitons head coach was recognized last night for his leadership of the team.

Phil Westman was named ‘Coach of the Year’ at the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League’s awards banquet.

Ryker Killins and Trevor Sauder also did well for themselves.

Sauder won a Santarossa scholarship, top defensive player and was named to the Second Team all-star line-up for his performance this season.

Killins was given the best defenseman award and he was named to the First all-star team line-up.

The recognition comes just before the start of the playoffs.

The Cullitons take on the Cambridge Winter Hawks in Round One starting this Friday at the William Allman Arena.

Game time is 7:30pm.

Advance ticket sales will take places Thursday night from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

1240 CJCS will carry every playoff game live beginning 15 minutes prior to the puck drop.
