Stratford News Community mailboxes robbed SHARE ON: Ethan Rabidoux, staff Tuesday, Feb. 25th, 2014 Canada Post community mailboxes were broken into sometime last week in Wellington County. The OPP received numerous reports of incidents occurring between February 14th and February 21st. A 31-year-old Fergus male was eventually arrested and now faces multiple charges. The thefts occurred in the Guelph-Eramosa Township. The police investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). As Canada Post cancels door-to-door mail delivery and moves towards more community mailboxes, local residents need to be vigilant as these mailboxes are out in the open and are not guarded.
