Two Festival productions get extensions

The season hasn’t even started yet, but the Stratford Festival is already extending a pair of productions.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Chamber Play and Antony and Cleopatra have both had performances added.

The Festival says brisk advance ticket sales are behind the extensions.

On top of that the Festival has also chosen a non-traditional venue for A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Chamber Play.

It’ll be staged at the Stratford Masonic Concert Hall located at 15 Church Street.

Performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Chamber Play, directed by Peter Sellars, have been added as follows:

·         Friday, August 1, at 2 p.m.

·         Friday, August 8, at 8 p.m.

·         Thursday, August 14, at 8 p.m.

·         Friday, August 22, at 8 p.m.

·         Thursday, August 28, at 8 p.m.

·         Thursday, September 11, at 8 p.m.

·         Friday, September 19, at 2 p.m.

The following performances of Antony and Cleopatra, directed by Gary Griffin, have been added:

·         Friday, August 22, at 8 p.m.

·         Friday, August 29, at 2 p.m.

·         Friday, September 5, at 8 p.m.

·         Saturday, September 13, at 8 p.m.
