YMCA running family events this week ahead of Healthy Kids Day

The Stratford-Perth YMCA says most parents are finding it hard to set a healthy example for their children.

With that in mind the Stratford-Perth YMCA is joining others across the province to celebrate YMCA Healthy Kids Day on June 7th.  The 2015 Healthy Kids Report revealed that 85% of parents aren’t doing the job they wish they could.

Nationally 35% of parents don’t believe their 6-12 year-olds get enough exercise.  On June 7th The Y will be opening their doors for free to our community.

Leading up to Sunday the Y will be offering family activities and programs all week.  You can find a complete schedule at www.stratfordperthymca.com or on Facebook at Stratford-Perth Family YMCA.
