AMDSB students getting opportunity to learn about theatre industry

The Avon Maitland District School Board is teaming up with the Stratford Festival.  They’re launching a new program where students in Grades 7 to 12 can learn from theatre professionals.

Called “My Academy” the after-school program examines all parts of theatre work.  “My Academy” launches in February next year and wraps up in May with a condensed version of one of Shakespeare’s plays staged at the Festival Studio Theatre.

The program costs $750 but there are grants and subsidies available.  If you’d like to apply for the program the forms can be found at the Avon Maitland District School Board’s website.
